How to: Jailbreak iOS 6.0 and 6.0.1 with Sn0wBreeze 2.9.7

Great news Windows users, iH8sn0w has updated his popular jailbreak tool, Sn0wBreeze adding support for iOS 6.0 and iOS 6.0.1 on pre-A5 devices. Supported devices include the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS, and it's worth mentioning that this is a tethered jailbreak. Head inside to see what's new and a tutorial for jailbreaking your iDevice!
What's new in the update according to iH8Sn0w's blog:
“Added 6.0 (10A403)/6.0.1 (10A523) support. (Only includes iPhone 3GS and A4 devices).
The 6.0/6.0.1 is currently a tethered based jailbreak via iBooty (except for iPhone 3GS old bootrom users)
SAM is built-in for iOS 6 hactivations. (Hactivated phone can reboot to a semi-tethered state after being activated [rather than just hang at the Apple Logo]). Kudos @sbinger”
With that out of the way, lets get on to jailbreaking!
Step 1: Download Sn0wBreeze 2.9.7 here
Step 2: Upzip and run sn0wbreeze-v2.9.7.exe (may need to run as administrator)
Step 3: Select Okay > Next > Browse for IPSW. If you don't have your phone's IPSW, you can click Download iOS Firmwares and the program will provide it for you. Select your IPSW and click Next
Step 4: Choose Simple Mode, and yes to Hacktivation. After your custom IPSW is created, you'll see it on your desktop
Step 5: Click OK and place your device in DFU mode. Click Start to enter the device into PwnedDFU mode via iReb
Step 6: Open iTunes, your device should now be detected as in recovery mode. Select your device and hold the Shift key while you click Restore. Select your IPSW you just built
Step 7: Your device will now restore, but instead of the Apple logo, you should see a snowflake icon. Once your device is booted back up and you should see the beautiful Cydia icon sitting there waiting
At this point you will be jailbroken, but will be unable to use Cydia. You will need to boot tethered before you can start installing tweaks and themes, to do so continue on:
Step 8: Place your device in DFU mode, open and run iBooty
Step 9: Select your device from the menu and click Start. Your device will now boot tethered.
Once you're back at the Homescreen, you should now be able to use Cydia. If for some reason you can't, restore your device and retry the jailbreak. If you have any questions feel free to post them below and we will help with all we can. Happy jailbreaking!
